Nestlé Health Science Named Corporate Citizen of the Year

The award recognizes the company’s dedication to the local communities on Long Island and throughout the Tri-State region.

Nestlé Health Science, a global leader in nutrition, health, and wellness, has been honored as a Corporate Citizen of the Year in the large business category by Long Island Business News (LIBN). The award, presented on September 19th, recognizes our unwavering dedication to the local communities we serve, partnerships with nonprofit organizations and others that strive to meet the critical needs of our community.

Through this award, LIBN honors organizations and individuals who are making a tangible impact on the community. Nestlé Health Science, alongside fellow honorees such as Catholic Health, PSEG Long Island, and Webster Bank, is recognized for the shared belief that acting as responsible corporate citizens bolsters the economic and social well-being of employees, businesses, and the community at large.

"This award is a true testament to Nestlé Health Science’s commitment to harnessing the power of community to ignite positive change," said Christina Ferzli, Head of Corporate Affairs and Communications, Nestlé Health Science U.S. "Through our support for nonprofit organizations, product donations and employee volunteerism, our aim is to address the unique needs of each community, fostering improved nutrition and enabling communities to thrive.”

Nestlé Health Science Foundation

Our commitment to the betterment of the communities we operate in is evident through our extensive support of Long Island Community organizations. Throughout this year alone, Nestlé Health Science Foundation, a 501c3 and charitable arm of our company, disbursed over $200,000 in grants to initiatives centered around health, wellness, and nutrition. Highlights include:

  • Awarding a grant to the United Way Long Island to support the nutritional health and wellness of local families. The grant will be used to provide health screenings and resources to scale a comprehensive regional nutritional educational initiative.
  • Supporting Island Harvest Food Bank’s Healthy Foods, Healthy Families initiatives – an umbrella initiative that spans across a network of more than 400 registered member agencies.
  • Providing a grant to Special Olympics New York to raise awareness and educate athletes on a healthier, more active lifestyle.
